Our Chapter Model

It’s Time For A New Approach

Chapter models often remain static because they operate from the standpoint that  “we’ve always operated this way.”

Black Connect’s chapter model supports our mission and strategies while allowing chapters flexibility in programming and accommodating chapters with different strengths and weaknesses.

This approach allows the organization to leverage the strengths of one chapter while ensuring greater consistency and fostering innovation across the local member experience. By understanding and carefully assessing each chapter, we can ensure mission and strategy alignment across our network of chapters.

Fostering Innovation & Flexibility

Innovation

Entrepreneur, Small Business and Supporting Members member may submit a Chapter Leadership Proposal. Deadline for submission is September 30th every year.  The organization will approve a leadership proposal by November 30th and the proposer will be installed as the chapter president and preside from January 1st - December 31st.   Our open application process fosters growth by encouraging new ideas and facilitating the flow of additional resources to the chapter, its members, and the local community.

Flexibility

Members are automatically assigned chapter membership when joining at no additional cost.  If there is no chapter in their area that is currently active, a member may submit a Chapter Leadership Proposal to start or reactivate a chapter.

Members may also join additional chapters and participate in chapter meeting and events virtually for an additional fee.

Chapter Model Advantages:
