We’re excited to begin building local chapters across the United States, because each and every chapter allows Black Connect to extend it’s mission to people. A mission that’s rooted in entrepreneurship and the desire to cultivate self-sustainable Black communities. Membership to local chapters is open to business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and any adult who supports the mission of Black Connect. Local chapters implement Black Connect’s national programs in their communities and serve as a resource and advocate for business owners.

+ What requirements must I meet to form a chapter in my city?

Every member of a local chapter must meet the following requirements:

• An adult over the age of 18 years

• Must possess honor, integrity, and good moral character

• A strong entrepreneurial spirit or

• A belief in the mission of Black Connect

+ How many members are needed to charter a chapter?

A local chapter may be started with a minimum of 2 members and the chapter will receive a charter with a minimum of 10 members .

+ How much does it cost to start a chapter?

Each chapter member must join the national organization and pay the annual national dues.

+ What requirements do the chapter have to meet after it is chartered?

The main responsibilities of local chapters are:

• Execute a minimum of one members-only program and one public program each quarter. At least two programs each year must support the organization's national programs.

• Organize an annual membership drive

• Maintain a chapter page on Blackconnect.com.
